• As a seasoned Councillor with experience as Deputy Chief Whip of the 5th Legislative Arm and Assistant Secretary of the Lagos State Councillors’ Chief Whips Forum, my background is marked by dedication to legislative discipline and effective governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Legislative Role:As Deputy Chief Whip, I ensured party members were present for crucial votes and supported the Leader in arranging business in the House.
• Forum Involvement:As Assistant Secretary of the Lagos State Councillors’ Chief Whips Forum, I worked closely with Chief Whips to facilitate smooth operations and coordination among party members.
• Ethics and Privileges:In line with the role of Chief Whips, I contributed to upholding ethics, protocols, and privileges within the legislative arm.
• In addition, Functions of the Chief Whip include assisting the Leaders of the Parties in the performance of their functions, liaising with Chairmen of Committees and functions of the House on behalf of the party; presiding over Committee on Ethics, Protocols and Privileges, and notifying the Speaker to enforce the Rules relating to Ethics, Privileges, as well as Rules of Debate.
