1. Departmental Leadership

1.1 Council Engineer (HOD) — Engr. Dawodu Gbolamiga

Overall Responsibilities:

• Strategic planning, supervision, and management of all engineering, maintenance, and infrastructural development activities within the LCDA.

• Technical adviser to the Executive Chairman, Council Manager, and the Legislature.

1.2 Deputy Council Engineer / Principal Works Officer

• Supports the HOD in administrative and technical functions.

• Oversees the department during the Council Engineer’s absence.

MAIN DIVISIONS / UNITS UNDER THE WORKS & INFRASTRUCTURE DEPARTMENT

Civil Engineering & Construction Division

Unit Responsibilities:

• Road construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance.

• Drainage design, channelization, and flood control works.

• Structural works on public buildings (schools, primary health centres, markets, etc.).

• Preparation of project designs, BOQs, and technical specifications.

• Drainage & Flood Control Unit

• Building & Structural Works Unit
