The Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Oluwafemi Odunayo Daniel has launched a free medical outreach for residents at the newly reconstructed and revitalised Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Itire-Ikate. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to expand access to quality healthcare and bring essential medical services closer to the people at the grassroots.
Flagging off the programme alongside the Chairperson, Mrs. Vivian Odunayo Daniel, and the Council Manager, Mrs. Ajose Esther, Hon. Odunayo urged residents to prioritise their health and take full advantage of the upgraded facility. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery and ensuring that the benefits of governance reach every part of the council.
The outreach provided a range of free services including dental care, eye screening with free eyeglasses, treatment of common ailments, blood pressure checks and diabetes mellitus screening. Officials described the programme as a demonstration of the administration’s focus on preventive healthcare and community wellbeing as key pillars of sustainable development in Itire-Ikate LCDA.
