





Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area (LCDA), in partnership with VELETA, hosted a special brand activation at the Council’s Marriage Registry to celebrate both newly married and long-standing couples.
The initiative was a collaboration by the Conference of Marriage Registrars across five Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas which includes Itire-Ikate, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Ifelodun, Surulere and Coker-Aguda and VELETA brand.
The event brought together couples from the participating councils in a warm atmosphere of celebration and appreciation for the institution of marriage. Among the guests were veteran couple, Mr. and Mrs. Isiak Kazeem, popularly known as Alalukimba, as well as newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Ayodeji.
Speaking at the event, the Marriage Registrar of Coker-Aguda LCDA, Mrs. Boluwatife Daniel, highlighted the importance of marriage as the foundation of a stable family and a peaceful society. She encouraged couples to strengthen their relationships by listening to one another, embracing forgiveness, communicating openly and appreciating each other.
Mrs. Daniel also spoke on the role of healthy marital intimacy in fostering emotional connection between spouses. She further advised couples to reject all forms of domestic violence and continue to build their homes on mutual respect, understanding and love.
As part of the celebration, gift packages were presented to the couples, while participants shared a toast with wine and took photographs to commemorate the occasion.
Itire-Ikate LCDA hosting the event, reflects the commitment of the administration of the Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate LCDA, Hon. Oluwafemi Odunayo Daniel, to initiatives that promote family values and support the growth of stable homes within the community.
