





The Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area, Hon. Oluwafemi Odunayo, has commenced renovation works at the Council Secretariat as part of efforts to enhance service delivery and modernize public infrastructure.
The Chairman, who inspected the facility on Wednesday, said the upgrade became necessary to provide staff with a befitting work environment and to improve service experience for residents and stakeholders.
He noted that the project will involve the rehabilitation and modernization of key sections of the Secretariat to meet contemporary standards of a 21st-century local government.
“This administration is committed to infrastructure that works for the people. By upgrading our Secretariat, we are investing in staff welfare, boosting productivity and ensuring that residents who come here receive services in a more efficient and dignified environment,” Hon. Odunayo said.
He added that the intervention aligns with his administration’s agenda of strengthening grassroots governance and positioning Itire-Ikate LCDA as a benchmark for excellence, transparency and sustainable development.
The renovation works are being carried out in phases and are expected to be delivered with minimal disruption to council operations.
Residents and stakeholders have been urged to continue supporting the administration’s development agenda, with the assurance that the upgraded Secretariat will serve as a hub for more responsive, accountable and people-centered governance in Itire-Ikate lcda.
