Welcome to Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area (LCDA)
Itire-Ikate LCDA was created in 2003 from the former Surulere Local Government Area to bring governance closer to the people. The area has a rich cultural heritage with roots that stretch back to the pre-colonial era. Over the years, Itire-Ikate has seen steady growth and development, especially in infrastructure, education, healthcare and economic opportunities.
These efforts reflect the commitment of the LCDA to improving the wellbeing of all residents and creating a community that is progressive, inclusive and forward-looking. The LCDA continues to focus on infrastructure development, social welfare, community growth, environmental sustainability, education, healthcare and economic empowerment, ensuring that development touches every part of the community.
