Hon. Babatunde Azeez Fancy: Deputy Majority Leader of Itire Ikate LCDA Legislative Arms

Hon. Babatunde Azeez Fancy, serves as the Deputy Majority Leader of the legislative arms of Itire Ikate LCDA. Known for his dedication and leadership, he plays a pivotal role in ensuring party effective governance and development of the community.

Hon. Babatunde Azeez Fancy: Upholding Integrity and Ensuring Accountability in Itire Ikate LCDA

Babatunde Azeez FANCY is a two time Councillor representing Odo-Olowu  Ward of Itire-Ikate LCDA, born in the mid 80s, hails  from Epe, Lagos State. Born and bred in Itire/Ikate area of Surulere, he attended Sanya Grammar School and Innocent Comprehensive High School, all situated in Ijeshatedo, Surulere where he obtained his senior secondary leaving certificate.

He proceeded to Lagos State University where he bagged a Diploma in “Communication Studies” and subsequently, a B.Sc in “Public Relations and Advertising”.

Babatunde Fancy also holds a professional diploma in advertising and is also an associate member of Advertising Practitioners’ Council of Nigeria (APCON).

Since leaving higher institution, he has worked closely with Hon. Akeem Arole Fancy, House of Representatives Member (2003- 2011) as his Executive  Assistance, gaining political  experience.

Previously, he was a member of the 5th Legislative Assembly of Itire Ikate LCDA (2021- 2025), Hon. Fancy Babatunde Azeez was the Chief Whip of the Legislative House, Chairmaning some House Committees as listed below:

1. Chairman House Committee on Business Rules, Ethics and Privileges.
2. Chairman House Committee on Primary Healthcare and Environmental Services.

Currently, as member of the 6^th Legislative Assembly, he is the chairman of two House Committees which include:

1. Chairman House Committee on ICT
2. Chairman House Committee on Tourism

As Councillor, Hon. Fancy has shown support for  youth and Community development in ways he has contributed to the children education in public schools and his unwavering support to  various Community Development Associations (CDA) in his Ward to foster community growth.

He hobbies include watching football, cooking and binging on TV shows.

Hon. Fancy  is a very diligent, reliable individual and always ready to serve.
