The staff of Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Oluwafemi Daniel Odunayo, for the festive bonus awarded to them.
Led by the Council Manager, Mrs. Esther Ajose, the staff applauded Hon. Odunayo’s thoughtful gesture, describing it as a demonstration of his commitment to staff welfare. The Executive Chairman had given a festive bonus of ₦40,000 for pensionable staff and ₦20,000 for non-pensionable staff.
In a statement, Mrs. Ajose said, “We are grateful to Hon. Odunayo for recognizing our hard work and dedication to the development of Itire-Ikate LCDA. This gesture has warmed our hearts and motivated us to continue working towards the progress of our community.”
The Council Treasurer, Mr. Alani Tajudeen Amusa, also revealed that the Chairman has been providing a monthly palliative of ₦20,000 to pensionable staff and ₦15,000 to non-pensionable staff to ease the economic challenges faced by staff.
The Head of Admin and HR, Mrs. Omolara Bamidele, further highlighted the Chairman’s commitment to staff development, saying, “Hon. Odunayo regularly sponsors seminars, training and provides financial medical assistance to staff with health challenges, showcasing his dedication to our growth and well-being.”
The Head of Environmental Services,Sanitarian Olanike Babawunmi has described the Executive Chairman as an inestimable person with zero tolerance for unclean environment. “He has intensified our push for carting away of refuse, cleaning of drainages and canal across the 3 communities of the Council, namely Itire, Ikate and Ijesha. His leadership has made a significant impact on our environmental sanitation efforts,” he said.
The Head of Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Gbolamiga John Dawodu, proudly spoke about the Chairman’s infrastructure achievements, saying, “Hon. Odunayo has completed 7 strategic roads in 7 wards with 100days In government,remodeled the Legislative Council, renovated the marriage registry and undertaken numerous road rehabilitation projects. His commitment to infrastructure development is unparalleled.”
The Newly retired Head of Education and Library Services, Mr. Gbadebo Tajudeen Olayiwola, described the Executive Chairman as a man with a larger heart, saying, “Hon. Odunayo has inspired and given more than expected to the students of Itire-Ikate LCDA. He has redeemed their hope for a brighter future.”
The Head of Women and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA), Miss Olufunmilayo Olayinka Mamora, praised the Executive Chairman’s efforts, saying, “Hon. Odunayo has been caring to the women of Itire-Ikate LCDA, ensuring their rights are highly protected in line with gender equality. He has empowered the people to a high sense of development.”
The Head of Agric and Social Services also praised the Executive Chairman for his unwavering support to the CDC/CDAs, Youths, and Religious body of Itire-Ikate LCDA.
The Head of Primary Health Care, Dr. M. Oladipupo, highlighted the Chairman’s healthcare initiatives, saying, “Hon. Odunayo regularly provides drugs, supports health missions and offers medical assistance to the good people of Itire-Ikate LCDA, showcasing his commitment to their well-being.”
Other management staff, including Clerk of the House-Mrs. Hanat Oloto, Internal Auditor-Mr. Fatai Ajanaku, HOD-Budget-Mrs. Olayinka Amusa, Head of Public Affairs-Mr. Temitayo Bakare, Head of Procurement-Mrs. Amoke Rafiat Abijo, Legal Officer-Barrister Kudirat Adekanbi, Head of Tourism-Mrs. Olajumoke Disu, Head of ICT-Mrs. Talabi Joy Titilayo, Area Officers-Mr. Dare Olusanya, Miss Kudirat Akodu and Mr. Ademola Awonusi, applauded the Executive Chairman for his good work in moving Itire-Ikate LCDA forward and wished him a happy Easter.
The NULGE Exco of Itire-Ikate LCDA, led by their Chairman, Comrade Solomon Adebayo, happily praised the Executive Chairman for providing a NULGE staff bus and official coastal bus that conveys staff from the council to Oshodi regularly. “He also provides monthly financial palliatives to staff, apart from financial support and other staff packages,” he said.
The staff looks forward to continued collaboration with Hon. Odunayo in driving progress and development in Itire-Ikate LCDA.
