Lagos, Nigeria – January 1, 2026 – The Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Oluwafemi Odunayo Daniel, extends warm and heartfelt New Year greetings to all residents and stakeholders.
In a statement, Hon. Daniel reflected on the achievements of the past year, highlighting key milestones in infrastructure development, education, youth empowerment, and environmental sustainability. “As we celebrate the dawn of 2026, I reaffirm our commitment to people-centered governance and continued progress for Itire-Ikate,” he said.
The Executive Chairman outlined priorities for the new year, including expanding affordable housing, enhancing ICT infrastructure, and promoting sports and cultural activities. “We look forward to working with our residents and partners to build a stronger, more prosperous community,” he added.
“We urge all residents to remain engaged and committed to the development of Itire-Ikate, and we assure them that they should expect more dividends of democracy in this year 2026,” Hon. Daniel said.
Hon. Daniel also appealed to all eligible residents to ensure their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) is ready for the forthcoming election, emphasizing that PVC plays a key role in the democratic process. “Let us exercise our civic duty and make our voices heard,” he urged.
In a related development, the Executive Chairman advised the youth of Itire-Ikate LCDA to desist from anti-social activities and engage in more developmental programs that can add value to their community. “The hands of the law will definitely punish anybody that goes contrary to the law of our land,” he warned.
