


The Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has celebrated its first 100 days in office with a ceremony showcasing significant strides in infrastructure development, healthcare, education and governance.
In a statement, Executive Chairman , Hon. Oluwafemi Odunayo Daniel highlighted the commissioning of seven strategic roads, including Olojudo Street, Ajijedidun Street, Ashabi Shonuyi Street, Obajimi Street, Onadeko Street, Dayo Ojitiku Street and Tossou Street.
Other notable achievements include the commissioning of key facilities such as the Legislative Bus, Nulge Bus, a bus for the Executive Chairman’s Office, and Utility 33-Seater Tata Bus. The LCDA has also distributed school bags and exercise books, conducted a mega medical mission and provided free GCE forms to indigent students. Additionally, youth and students have been empowered with vocational skills, and vocational equipment has been procured for the vocational centre. Laptops have been acquired for computer training, and efforts are underway to maintain a sustainable environment through regular refuse clearance. The legislative chambers and marriage registry are also undergoing renovation and upgrading.
Hon. Daniel emphasized that these accomplishments are a result of collective effort, strategic planning and dedication to public service, underscoring the administration’s commitment to building a responsive, transparent and progressive Itire-Ikate LCDA.
Residents and stakeholders have commended the council for its openness, visibility and swift response to community needs, noting a renewed sense of trust and optimism in local governance. The council reaffirmed its commitment to deepening development initiatives, strengthening community partnerships and sustaining progress across all wards.
The Chairman of APC Political Party in Lagos State, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, commended the Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate LCDA, Hon. Oluwafemi Odunayo Daniel, for making the party proud and advised others in government to take a cue in his achievements, saying his accomplishments are a testament to the party’s vision for good governance.
Hon. Olufemi Odunayo expressed special appreciation to his political mentor and father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the opportunity to serve his people, reaffirming his commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President. He inspired the audience to ensure they all have PVCs for the forthcoming election in 2027, for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s (PBAT) 2nd term in office.
The Itire-Ikate LCDA expressed gratitude to Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Dr. Olufemi Hamzat, and other dignitaries for their support.
