Theme: “Infrastructural Development — A Collective Responsibility for Sustainable Growth”
The Agunbiade Ward community, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, hosted a pivotal Stakeholders’ Consultative Meeting in preparation for the 2026 fiscal year budget. The event, themed “Infrastructural Development: A Collective Responsibility for Sustainable Growth,” provided a platform for robust discussions on community-driven development and participatory governance.
Distinguished personalities present included Hon. Isiaka Kazeem Alalukimba (Councillor, Agunbiade Ward), Alhaji Kushimo (LGA Chairman), Alhaji Lawal, Hon. Savage, and Ward Chairman, Hon. Ademola Igayemi, among other notable leaders.
The highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the Executive Chairman’s address, delivered on his behalf by Hon. Isiaka Kazeem Alalukimba. In his speech, the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Dr.) Oluwafemi Odunayo Daniel, expressed appreciation to party members, community stakeholders, and residents for their steadfast support and commitment to the progress of Itire–Ikate LCDA.
He noted that the proposed 2026 budget serves as a roadmap for his administration’s development priorities, aimed at consolidating ongoing infrastructural projects and initiating new ones that will further enhance the welfare of residents. He also urged all stakeholders to contribute meaningfully through suggestions and recommendations that will help ensure equitable resource distribution across the LCDA.
Hon. Alalukimba’s delivery inspired an engaging interactive session, during which participants shared valuable insights and development-oriented ideas. The Councillor assured attendees that their contributions would be duly relayed to the Executive Chairman for consideration in the budget planning process.
The event took an exciting turn with the surprise appearance of the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Dr.) Oluwafemi Odunayo Daniel, accompanied by the Council Manager and other top officials. The Chairman’s impromptu visit reinvigorated the gathering as he commended the enthusiastic participation of residents and highlighted his administration’s achievements across various sectors.
He also took the opportunity to speak on the forthcoming 2027 General Elections, encouraging community members to remain united and reaffirm their support for President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure the continuity of the Renewed Hope Agenda for a prosperous Nigeria.
The meeting concluded on a high note, reflecting the unwavering commitment of Agunbiade Ward stakeholders to participatory governance and sustainable community development.
